Major / Severe damage to wheels consists of the following: -

• Pot hole damage - the wheel is egg shaped (Horizontal Wobble)
• Impact to wheel face - the wheel has a twisted or bent spoke (Vertical Wobble).
• Cracked and leaking rims - making the tyre unseal.
• Top impact to rims - severe damage torn and ripped.
• Side impact damage to rims - severe damage torn and ripped.

Minor damage to wheels consists of the following: -

• Kerbing ( scuffing & scraping not deeper than 0.2mm)
• Discolouration of surface
• Rust (surface bubbles & paint delamination)

Damage to wheels as above in varying degrees or all of the above is not uncommon and the wheels can be repaired if it is cost effective to do so.

(Typical costs based on a standard single colour finish with only minor damage processes, ie. no polishing etc)

Minor damage 1 :- 17" dia x 8" deep alloy wheel with 8 spokes, kerb damage

• The average cost for repair is circa £75-

Minor damage 2:- 17" dia x 8" deep alloy wheel with 8 spokes, no wheel damage, refurbishment of finish required

• The average cost for re-finish is circa £95- refer to our Finishing page

Major damage 1 :- 17"dia x 6" deep alloy wheel with 5 spokes, bent rim & cracked along depth & (vertical wobble).

• The average cost for repair is circa £115-

Major Damage 2 :- 17"dia x 8" deep alloy wheel with 15 spokes, bent & torn rim, egg shaped (horizontal wobble).

• The average cost for repair is circa £135-

9. Preperation & finishing
10. Quality assessment check prior to tyre fitting
11. Tyre re-fitted & balance weights added.
